Masters Programs

Learn and gain confidence!

A series of rowing clinics and camps allow LTR participants and CCMR members to safely progress from rowing more stable single recreational (rec) shells to a variety of racing shells. Novices in rec and racing shells row along the pond’s Shore Path until their confidence and skills permit them All Pond access. Certified coaches will rate CCMR members for boat level and pond rowing path.

Learn-to-Row (LTR)

Multi-Day LTR Clinic is a fun and comprehensive introduction to sculling designed for beginners. Participants learn boat safety, boat set-up, balance and basic strokes, using CCMR recreational shells. CCMR membership is not required. However, LTR participants who want to continue on with a CCMR annual or seasonal individual membership will receive a $50.00 discount toward their membership fee!

2022 LTR clinic schedule and fees:

June 27-July 1 (five days), 7-8:30am, $150 per person

August 1-5 (five days), 6-7:30 am, $150 per person

Novice Instruction

After completion of a Learn-to-Row Clinic, participants are encouraged to continue to build their skills and confidence to obtain their Rec Shell/Shore Path rating. Novice level clinics will be available for continued instruction in July and August 2022.

Novice Clinic Date(s): 5 sessions over a two-week period, July 4-15 and August 15-26

Course Fee: $150

About Coach Tom Siddall:

Tom is a renowned collegiate coach who currently serves as a Team Consultant for USRowing, Assistant Coach, Mens Rowing at Tufts University, Coach at Community Rowing, Inc (CRI) in Cambridge, as well as our own Coach-in-Residence for our masters at Long Pond!
